Sequoia Houston founded The Sur-Ryl Group in 2009 and is the current Chief Executive Officer.

Before starting The Sur-Ryl Group, Houston was a member of the marketing teams at KPMG LLP, one of the Big Four Accounting firms as well as Grant Thornton, a top five global accounting firm. She worked with senior partnership to help develop and execute Go-to-Market strategy. In these roles she was responsible for market research, identifying  leads and database management. She also provided tactile support with proposals and event planning. At KPMG she was heavily involved in firm-sponsored affinity networks and sat on several committees. Before working in marketing she worked in Human Resources for both KPMG and ARAMARK. 

Houston holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of North Texas as well as a Bachelor of Arts in both Psychology and Communications (Media Production) from The University of Houston.
